Unit 8 Our dreams 第一课时
一、教学目标
1.会听说读写单词dream, future, tooth, scientist, artist, take care of。
2.能熟练使用句型What do you want to be in the future?并掌握其回答I want to be a/an...进行操练,并正确地理解课文,朗读课文。
3.培养学生的发散性思维和语言表达能力。
4.创设情境进行教学,激发学生的求知欲和表现力,激发学生心怀梦想并付诸努力。
二、学情分析
学生在五年级上册Unit5 What do you want to do?学过有关职业的单词,结合What do you want to do?导入新句型I want to be…
三、教学难点
1.能熟练使用句型What do you want to be in the future?并掌握其回答I want to be a/an...
2.能掌握astronaut,pianist,dentist等词的读音和拼写。
四、教学过程
Step 1:Lead-in
1. Play a game
T: Do you like playing games? Let’s play a guessing game. It’s a word. There are five letters. Give me a letter you like. D-R-E-A-M. Yes, it’s dream. (Hang man)
2. Listen to me
T: I had a dream when I was a child. I wanted to be a teacher. And now I am your teacher. So what’s the meaning of dream? (梦想)
Today we’ll learn Unit 8 Our dreams.出示课题教读。(板书出课题)
3. Let’s talk
T: I think everyone has a dream. What’s your dream?And what do you want to be in the future? 呈现I want to be a/an…句型.
Step 2:Pre-reading
1. Ask and answer
T: Look at the picture, what do you want to ask? --Who are they? Where are they? What are they doing? 出示What are they talking about?
2. Let’s watch
Watch the cartoon then check your answers.
3. Ask and answer
T: What are they talking about?— They are talking about their dreams. Miss Li is asking the students about their dreams.—What do the students want to be in the future?
Step 3 :While-reading
1. Read and find
T: First let’s look at boys’ dreams. What are boys’ dreams? And why?
Tips: Read P78 silently, underline the key words and you can use different signs, fill in the blanks and discuss in groups.
1) T: What does Mike want to be in the future?—He wants to be a dentist.(板书What)
What can dentists do for people?---They can help our teeth.
教授dentist:Why does Mike want to be a dentist?---He wants to help children with their bad teeth.(板书Why)
Do you care about your teeth? How do you care about your teeth? –Yes, we should care about our teeth and brush our teeth twice a day.
2)T: What does WangBing want to be in the future?—He wants to be an astronaut. 教读astronaut
Look,who is he? He is YangLiwei.(杨利伟图片)
What do you think of him?----Yes, he is very great.
Can you say some astronauts’ names ?—杨利伟,聂海胜,费俊龙,刘洋,阿姆斯特朗。
Yes,Armstrong is the first man to set foot on the Moon.出示月球。
How can the astronaut go to the Moon? ---By spaceship.教读。
So why does WangBing want to be an astronaut?---He wants to fly a spaceship to the Moon.
3) How about LiuTao? Who can ask this question?—What does LiuTao want to be in the future?---He wants to be a football player.
Why does LiuTao want to be a football player?—He wants to play in the World Cup some day.播放世界杯主题曲的小视频。
What do you think of the song? ---Exciting./ Crazy, /Happy…
This is a very famous football player. Do you know some famous football players’ name? ---David Beckham, Messy.
Do you like playing football? Can you play well? You can try your best to play well and I hope you can also play in the World Cup some day.
2. Now we know boys’ dreams. Their dreams are great. How about girls’ dreams? Now learn by yourselves.
Tips: Read P79. Circle the new words and try to find out them by yourselves, fill in the blanks and discuss in groups.
You can use these sentences:
A:What does ...want to be?

A: Why does … want to be..?/What does… want to do?
B: Because…/She wants to…
由学生根据句型自学第二部分课文,两人一组用对话方式完成问答。
3. Play a game. 复习职业与工作内容,进而提问Who wants to be a dancer?

《our Dreams》 教学反思

我所上的课题dream是在我们上完Module1后,学生学会句型I/She/He can…but I/ she/ he can’t…以及职业的相关知识后再构的一篇阅读课。通过本节课主要要完成以下几个教学目标:1、听懂、会说句型:(1).I… with my hands. (2)…. works hard. (3)What do you want to be?I want to be a/an… It’s…2.以篇章为载体,帮助学生了解信息、提取信息并运用相关语言展开信息交流,同时培养学生的一些能力、技巧,如阅读能力以及听的能力等等。3. 通过阅读Evans的个人成长经历,让学生能够对“有志者,事竟成”产生共一些鸣。
本节课的教学重点是:1. 学生能听、会说句型:(1).I… with my hands. (2)…. works hard. (3)What do you want to be?I want to be a/an… It’s…2. 学生能读懂文章,并能完成练习,且完成率较好。
本节课的教学难点是:通过阅读篇目的学习,学生能够对“有志者,事竟成”这句话产生共鸣。
在本节课的教学过程中,我着重侧重学生思维的激活以及一些阅读方法的渗透、指导。
下面简要的对本课进行一个回顾:
1.我用一首英文歌曲I have a dream 导入本课的课题dream.
2.用“眼明耳快”复习职业
3.用guess 游戏来引出单词cleaner. 这里我不是直接用呈现图片的形式呈现单词,而是采用一句一句层现信息,让学生结合本身的知识经验进行猜测,这样有助于学生思维的激活。同时这里选用cleaner这个职业主要是为了说明work hard.因为相对于其他职业,学生对于cleaner较为熟悉,更容易理解work hard.不仅解决了词意,同时为本节课的中心埋下伏笔。
4.本课中,在引出句型What do you want to be?I want to be a/an… It’s…的方式也是我们较为满意的。本课从说老师的梦想,I want to be a super teacher. That’s my dream.到Ben, Wendy, Eddie的梦想,用理解的方式解决了问句的意思,然后到Pair work, 到chant,一步步,最终都为解决本课的重点知识服务。
5.对于本节课的第一小段阅读篇目从听入手,而后到阅读完成题目,并且巧妙地解决了with的词意,同时让学生用I… with my hands.表达。第二段阅读篇目从自制的一段视频入手,然后也是通过问题帮助学生理解内容。不管是听录音还是看视频,我总是让学生带着问题去做,这样能帮助学生明确任务,带着问题去听,看,使学习更有实效。再者,在学生做阅读理解的时候,我渗透一些阅读小提示,都能促进学生阅读方法的掌握。
6.对于本节课的情感方面的升华,我采用直观的手段,首先是通过一则Evens的钢琴弹奏来说明,接着让学生看一段残疾人的视频,说明他们身残志不残,表明学生只要自己有目标也能做的很棒。通过本课的教学,学生在这方面还是有一些共鸣的。
课后我也进行了积极地反思,以下几个方面觉得不足:
1.课堂时间把握不够。本节课由于多媒体原因,临时将教室换到美术室,由于准备的仓促,忘记戴手表。所以深怕课堂完成不了,所以有些步骤过于匆忙,时间分配不是很到位。
2.最后一环结预设不够。在段内的磨课中,我们都没有真正落实该环节,原因一方面是课堂时间较紧,没有时间落实;另一方面是,学生在上完本课后,没有产生共鸣。本节课,上完之后也没能将最后一环结上出彩,是本堂课的一个败笔。课后老师们给了我一些建议,可以让孩子们站在残疾人的角度,选取其中的人物进行阐述:I’m… I have no … But I have a dream. I want to be a… I will work hard. I will … everyday. 这样学生就会更有话说,而且将本节课中所学的知识再一次进行了运用,提升,不会让听课的老师听了之后不知所以然。
