六年级上册Unit4 Then and now (story time)

【目标预设】

1.知识目标

1)学生能掌握e-book, ago, mobile phone, newspaper等单词及几个动词过去式。

2)学生能理解Story time

3学生能理解和区分一般现在时态和一般过去时态

理解和区分一般现在时态和一般过去时态

3.情感态度目标

学生能感受到生活中各个领域发生的巨大变化。

教学重、难点

1.教学重点

ago, she/heNow, she/he句型。

2.教学难点

句型:一般现在时态和一般过去时态的比较和运用

词汇:不规则变化的动词过去式

教学过程

Step1. Lead in

1. Let’s guess.

T: Hello, boys and girls. First, let’s look at a picture. Can you guess who she is?

How can I contact her?

Learn mobile phone, telephone.

2. Let’s choose

What does the word “then” mean here? You can choose A or B, which one?

3. Play a game

 T: Now, let’s play a gamethen or now”. You will see some photos of Miss Guo, if you think it happened then, you can saythen, then, then”. If you think it happens now, you can saynow,now,now”.

T: So you see my life has changed a lot. Today I’ll show you then and now of Mike’s family.

【设计意图】通过与学生分享照片自然地引出过去和现在这一话题,再让学生在游戏中进一步感知和理解then now ,为下面的文本学习和学生的语言输出埋下铺垫。

Step 2. Learn a story (Story time)

1.     Look and say

T: Look. This is Mike, but who are they?

2. Reading

(1)Read and find

T: Let’s look at Mike first.

What could /couldn’t he do then?

What can he do now?

T: Let’s describe Mike, I say then…,you say now…

(2)Read and write

T: That’s Mike. What about Mr. Brown, grandpa and Mrs. Brown? You can read the passage carefully and then write down the answers on page 38.

S:…

Mr. Brown

T: Ok. Let’s look at Mr. Brown. Which pair would like to try? You two, please.

S1: Then…

S2: Now…

T: Yes. Then where could he use the telephone? Now where can he use mobile phone?

S:…

T: So which is more convenient, the telephone or the mobile phone?

  And which is more convenient, the letters or e-mils?

T: Let’s describe Mr. Brown, boys saythen…”, girls saynow…”.

Grandpa

T: Let’s continue. Grandpa, which pair would like to try?

S:…

T: That’s good. Then how did he get news? Now how does he get news?

S:…

T: Ok. Let’s describe grandpa, group1and2 saythen…”, group3and4 saynow…”.

Mrs. Brown

T: The last one, Mrs. Brown, you two, please.

S:…

T: Does she have a lot of e-friends? How do you know? ( all over the world)

  Do you do shopping on the Internet? So, she is fashion, do you think so?

T: This time, let’s describe Mrs. Brown together.

20 years ago, I used the telephone to call my brother, I read newspapers to get news, I wrote letters to my friends.

Step 5 Homework

1. Read and retell the story.

教学反思                                           

一开始,为了引出标题中的生词then, 我花了不少时间。下课了,想想应该简短些,直奔主题更好。下次课可以这样导入:新教材六上Unit4 Then and now,是讲的过去与现在的变化。在学习了三个单元的过去时句型之后,我们逐步对过去式有了一定的了解和意识,能初步运用并进行描述了。基于此,可以通过三副图片的对比,直接引出then and now的课题,直截了当,突出主题。

还有为了有趣味性,可以这样操作:在处理文本时,先别打开书,因为我觉得一打开书,孩子们的新鲜感就消失了。所以通过对Mike的过去和现在的分析和对比,头脑风暴猜测他现在能做的事情,激发学生的思维,让英语学习变得生动。 

其他的处理得还算恰当。在对Mr Brown Mrs Brown Grandpa的学习中,通过听,说,读各种不同的方式,细致得教授了各部分的内容,并进行了相应的对比。

对所学的文本进行阅读,有感情得朗读再到齐读。之后,给出关键词,选择其中的一个人进行过去和现在的对比复述。

总结时,对于过去与现在,人们在哪些方面有了变化,体现出了我们现代生活处在电子时代。

应该说,整节课上下来整体还是不错的,自我感觉也比较良好。但是对于一些细节的处理,我还是需要注意,比如说,环节与环节之间的

衔接,比如,有些单词需要加强阅读。
